It’s that time of year when we start talking about and preparing the holiday season, and I am already thinking about decorating the Christmas tree and the house!

It’s also the time to start thinking about gifts, although in the interest of full transparency I start in the Summer if I see something I know one of my family or friends will love.

Have you started your holiday shopping yet? I like to start early for three reasons

  • It enables you to spread the cost out over a few months, instead of going crazy and overspending in December
  • it also means that you can take advantage of Black Friday Sales. Many of the items in my gift guide are already on sale, and I’m pretty sure that they all will be by the end of the week
  • It avoids the stress of uncertainty about shipping delays! There’s nothing worse (in the context of Christmas gifting) than when you find the perfect gift but it doesn’t arrive until January!
