5 Ways To Look Stylish While Travelling

Welcome back to The Velvet Runway and this feature about 5 Ways To Look Stylish While Travelling, with our top style, beauty and travel tips.

Traveling is an exciting and adventurous experience that helps you explore new places and cultures. And we all want to look stylish and feel comfortable while on the go. Unfortunately, whether you’re traveling for leisure or work, long-distance travel can make you look messy and tired.

If you tend to feel disheveled while traveling, don’t worry. This post will walk you through some practical ways to look good and feel relaxed while traveling. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!

5 Ways To Look Stylish While Travelling

1. Dress for Style and Comfort

The first step to looking stylish while traveling has to do with your outfit. When you’re on the move, you want to wear wrinkle-free fabrics that won’t require ironing. Loose, breathable materials like knit fabrics are excellent because they make you feel comfortable. Cotton, silk, and polyester blends are also good options, and so are synthetic fiber fabrics. We do not recommend linen as it rumples reasonably quickly.

Also, consider picking your favorite dress, the one that makes you feel confident and comfortable. It could be a floral sundress, a maxi dress, or something in between. Whatever it is, make sure it’s comfortable.

It is also a good idea to wear layers. This way, you can easily add or remove layers depending on the temperature. For instance, you can wear light weather over a T-shirt or tank top. It will keep you warm and cozy during your flight or long drive. And you can remove it when it becomes too warm.

Accessories are also a great way to add style to your travel outfit. Scarves, bags, hats, jewelry, headbands, and sunglasses can add a pop of color and elevate your look. Just ensure the accessories you choose are comfortable and won’t get in the way while you’re on the go.

Next, make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Your shoes shouldn’t hurt your feet after extended wear. Sneakers, sandals, and flats are great options. They’re comfortable and stylish and can match most outfits.

2. Pick the best Hairstyle and Makeup

The right hairstyle and makeup can make a huge difference in your overall look while traveling. You want to choose a hairstyle that’s comfortable and won’t require a lot of maintenance. It is always good to choose a simple yet stylish hairstyle like braids, a messy bun, or a ponytail. They’re easy to do and low-maintenance.

If your hair is short, thin, or lacks volume, consider wearing hair extensions to enhance your hairstyle. Clip-in extensions come in handy here since you can easily clip them in and remove them whenever you want.

But keep in mind that not all hair extensions are created equal. It is a good idea to research the best websites to buy hair extensions and pick only human hair extensions from reputable brands like Zala Hair Extensions. Remy hair extensions look entirely natural and blend seamlessly with your locks.

When it comes to makeup, try to keep it simple! You don’t want to spend too much time applying makeup when you could be exploring new places. A tinted moisturizer, mascara, natural eye shadow, and lip balm are all you need to look fresh and put together.

3.Stay Hydrated and Take Care of Your Hygiene

Staying hydrated is crucial when you’re traveling. It can help prevent jet lag, headaches, and fatigue. Plus, drinking more water will keep your skin and hair looking fresh. At the same time, make sure to avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they can dehydrate you.

Next, always carry hand sanitizer and wet wipes to keep your hands clean. Pack a toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash to keep your mouth fresh. And don’t forget to moisturize your skin, as travel can take a serious toll on your skin.

4. Pack Smartly

Packaging smartly is also essential as it can save space and weight. Invest in good quality luggage with enough compartments to keep your items organized.

Also, choose a stylish bag that can mix and match your outfit.

5. Be Confident and Enjoy Yourself.

Lastly, the key to looking stylish while traveling is to be confident and enjoy yourself. Remember that you’re on an adventure, and there’s no right or wrong way to dress or look. Be comfortable in your own skin, and don’t hesitate to try something new. You might just discover a new style or trend that you’ll love.

It’s a great time to do some solo traveling and go exploring all on your own. There are many companies that sponsor solo tours. This way you won’t have to feel completely alone even when you are going on your adventures by yourself. All of this, plus embracing your sense of style can really boost your self-confidence.

Thanks Janet! I think we all feel the same when travelling – especially by the end of the trip. One thing I never wear for travelling is linen, because although I love it, it creases so much when travelling x

  5. So many great tips here, but yes being comfortable is key. I was just noticing this today looking NYFW street style photos and I noticed how so many people were wearing comfortable shoes. And packing LOL. Don’t pack too many pairs of jeans. They are way too heavy. I found this out the hard way.
