There is no more dramatic accessory than a perfect lip, so this week, my new product is a Tom Ford lipstick in Wild Ginger, a beautiful red colour – which is perfect with a little black dress!

Tom Ford Lipstick in Wild Ginger

Don’t be put off by the orange undertone in this lipstick as although the orange in Wild Ginger is visible, it is not the predominant shade in the lipstick, but just gives it added vibrancy and makes it unique. The actual colour is rich and beautiful and will look more red on cooler skintones and more orange on warmer ones.

For myself, I found it was closer to a cherry red and as it is a very attention grabbing colour I would recommend keeping the rest of your make-up subtle.

The packaging is beautiful, and the TF engraved on the lipstick adds to its charm. Unfortunately, the TF rubs off when you apply the lipstick, which is inevitable but sad!

The things I loved about this lipstick include the colour, the creamy texture (which made it very easy to apply), the hydrating formula (which meant my lips didn’t feel dry all day), and the slight vanilla scent.

The creamy and moisturizing formula includes soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomile flower oil.

However, on the downside it is a little expensive.  At £38 (47€ or $52) it is definitely a luxury product, but as Christmas is approaching it could be an idea for a present list, and it also comes in lots of other beautiful colours. I’m looking at black dahlia or velvet cherry for my list! Do you have any favourites?
