It seems you can’t open a magazine these days without coming across animal prints. With designers championing everything from leopard to snake and even zebra prints for this Fall, it’s time to take a walk on the wild side, so here are our tips for How to Style Animal Prints .
You can choose to go head to toe animal print with an all-over leopard print dress or coat, mix and match by opting for an animal print skirt or tee or if you want a more discreet animal print look then you can choose to accessorise with animal print shoes, a bag or even sunglasses
How to Style Animal Prints
Treat animal prints as your new neutrals by adding them to your everyday outfits alongside your LBD and classic trench coat. There is no need to stick to just classic colours as the new king of the jungle is red and black animal print.
Here are three simple ways to take a walk on the wild side and incorporate animal print into your look.
Mix and Match Animal Prints
My preferred way to wear animal print is to mix and match, either with basics such as a black tee to harmonise your look or mix the animal print with a different material/ style for a more modern twist.
The first golden rule is to harmonise your look using non-patterned pieces that allow the animal print garment to play the main role and avoid wearing animal prints on any areas that you would prefer not to draw attention to. If you’re on the shorter side, opt for clothes with smaller graphics like leopard print, and avoid larger patterns such as zebra print.
The simplest and most chic option is to select a single animal print piece, then harmonise it with garments in neutral tones that appear in the pattern, such as black, cream or beige – all of which are very versatile and easy to style. A leopard print top also looks great with denim jeans or shorts.

The simplest way to wear animal print is, of course, dressing head to toe in homage to your favourite animal. A leopard print dress or coat never goes out of fashion.

If you are reluctant to fully commit to animal print, then the best way to incorporate this trend into your look is to accessorise. It’s simple to lend a chic touch to your look with an animal print bag, scarf, shoes or even sunglasses.
