Fashion Inspiration : The Golden Globes
It’s that time of year when the stars take to the red carpet in all their finery. Having just watched the red carpet style show for the Golden Globes I know I have a few favourites.
However, for those of us whose budget doesn’t quite stretch as far, I’ve been going through the promtimes.co.uk website in search of some more affordable options.
Even if you aren’t invited to the Golden Globes (or the upcoming Oscars) every girl should have at least one pretty evening dress in her wardrobe. You never know when you will have a birthday party, wedding, prom, ball or cocktail event to attend and we all know that when you actually really need a dress for a last minute event you can never find one !
Beautiful dress manufacturer promtimes.co.uk recently sent me their site to review and I have been very impressed with the huge selection of dresses they offer at affordable prices. Whether you like floaty chiffon, eye-catching glamour or prefer something slinky and sexy, there is a dress on this site that you will fall in love with.
The website is very easy to navigate and there are a wide variety of options to select from (main categories include cocktail dresses, prom dresses, evening dresses and even wedding dresses).
Their dresses come in a variety of styles, fabrics and colour options. Different fabrics include chiffon, satin, lace, tulle and organza, and each dress is available in a wide range of colours.
Styling options include long, ankle length, cocktail length, short, strapless, off the shoulder, one-shoulder, long sleeves, floaty, and fitted, to name but a few. The choice is yours !

From a styling viewpoint, these dresses already make a statement so you should keep the rest of your outfit very simple. You only need minimal accessories, such as small earrings, or a simple bracelet and a small clutch/ purse.
I particularly like the fact that each dress is custom-made and that you can actually check out other clients’ testimonials and see them actually wearing the designs on the promtimes.co.uk website, if you have any doubt of how a certain model will look like on a real client, instead of a model.
