Quiz revealed that 97% of bridesmaids were happy to pay towards wedding expenses, while 3% didn’t want to spend a penny. It’s certainly possible to be budget-savvy throughout the bridesmaid process while still giving the bride the best wedding day possible.

It was found that bridesmaids living in Southampton were the most frugal with their money, spending as little as £35. Meanwhile, Birmingham appears to have the biggest spenders as they were happy to splash out up to £577 each time they agreed to be a bridesmaid.

3: When the big day comes

There are several tips we recommend for when the big day finally comes around, including making sure to capture beautiful moments for the wedding photobook. As a bridesmaid, you want to ensure everything goes perfectly for the bride, allowing her to have a stress-free wedding day.

Having an emergency kit on standby that includes a few everyday essentials can help to avoid any makeup or fashion mishaps on the morning of the wedding. Pack some comfortable shoes, makeup wipes, tissues, snacks, plasters, and a phone charger so that all bases are covered.

You could also consider bringing something small for the bride in case she feels nervous, such as their favourite childhood toy or a photo of her and her loved ones. This can help to calm the nerves and make her feel at ease ahead of the vows.
