Following on from my previous look with a blue lace dress, and being inspired by Emily Blunt, Rach Parcell, Candice Swanepoel, Taylor Swift, Chiara Ferragni and Kristina Bazan, to name just a few of the celebrities who have been spotted in lace dresses, I have been rummaging through my wardrobe to look for a few more looks with lace!

Outfit of the day : Looks with lace and Friday link-up

I am also really excited to be co-hosting my first link-up today with Lizzieinlace (see below for details).

Looks with lace

I bought this dress from The Kooples last season, and I really love the combination of textures, with the lace just being at the top half of the dress.  I think it is very easy to wear, as it can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. For more looks with lace and the link-up, read on:

Looks with lace

I also have a few lace skirts, which have a similar effect to the two-textured dress, but you can choose to wear a shirt of a matching, co-ordinating or contrasting colour, depending on your mood. I chose to wear a co-ordinating blue silk shirt to pick up the blue in the skirt today.

Looks with lace

This lace dress from Sandro gives a pop of colour to brighten up my day. I usually wear it with a black jacket and black shoes.

I bought this green lace Sandro dress this summer and it is definitely one of my favourites (You probably won’t be surprised to know that I also have it in black!

Now as promised, Welcome to the Link Up! Meet your host..

Hi ladies! I’m Liz (or Lizzie) from Lizzie in Lace! I’m a substitute teacher by day, private guitar instructor and business owner by night and full-time fashionista! This week I have Julia from The Velvet Runway joining me as co-host!

Hi, I’m Julia. I’m English, but I have lived in France for the last twenty years, so I guess I’ve acquired ‘the French touch’.

I initially trained as a chartered accountant, but then retrained as a teacher in 2003.  I have always been passionate about fashion, beauty and travelling, and have spent much of my free time researching beauty products, shopping (or at least window-shopping) for new clothes and planning my next holidays, and in September 2015, I decided to take a leap into the unknown and start a fashion, beauty and travel blog.

I blog about places I have visited, beauty products I have tested and my own personal style as well as how to get the look of fashion icons, such as Audrey Hepburn and more recent celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence.

Starting next month I am also adding a ‘how to’ section to the blog, to give ideas such as ‘how to pack’, ‘how to dress for your shape’, and ‘how to get the French touch’ .

You can follow Julia on Instagram, Facebook and Bloglovin’.
