I am totally in love with these slightly distressed jeans from Zara. As I am no longer in my twenties, I felt that ‘slightly’ distressed was a good starting point for this trend, and to smarten the look up a bit, I opted to pair them with a smart black jacket/coat and high heels!
Distressed Jeans

I chose to pair these jeans from Zara with a cream silk top (also from Zara but no longer available) and a smart black jacket/coat from Claudie Pierlot (last season).
I say jacket/coat as you can unzip it along the middle line and the coat transforms into a jacket, so it’s a really useful investment for a weekend away, as you can adapt it for the weather, which in the UK is a necessity!
The shoes/sandals are from Marks & Spencer (again last season), and I love the slight trace of gold in the heel.
Although I often wear my dark straight jeans with a casual sweater, I prefer to dress up the distressed denim to create a balance between casual and chic.
