Back to school with Stradivarius

Stradivarius Review

It’s that time of year when the preparations for back to school are at a high and a key question is what to wear! Even if you’re not going back to school, it’s the time of year that feels like a fresh start so why not treat yourself to a new outfit from the Autumn-Winter collections?

If you remember, I am quite fan of the ‘boho’ look (see here) so when Stradivarius  offered me the chance to review one of their products, I naturally gravitated towards this ‘boho’ dress, which I paired with this corset style belt!  Read on for more photos and details about this boho maxi dress from Stradivarius

This week I was delighted to be given the opportunity to review this boho vibes midi dress from Stradivarius.

This was my first experience with  Stradivarius and although I was impressed by the wide range of looks available at reasonable prices, this dress  was my first choice as I loved the OTS sleeves, the floral print and the bohemian style.

I was very impressed with the customer service and the rapidity of delivery, and of course, the dress itself!

This dress ticks all the boxes for me: I love the exposed shoulder, the long sleeves and the maxi length as well as the colors and the floral print. It’s machine washable and doesn’t need ironing, so it’s perfect for traveling too!

As always, I added a wide belt (although this time I chose a tie-waisted belt from the Stradivarius collection, which is also available in red) and I added peep-toe sandals from Top Shop,  (last season), which I thought gave an edgy vibe to complete the look.

Although, as we move from Autumn to Winter, I think I might swop the peep-toes for these black OTK boots, which also appealed to me on the Stradivarius site.

As I scrolled through the site, a few more items to add to my ‘back to school’ look came to mind!

I think this floral strappy top  would be a great transitional piece, as it can easily be worn under a blazer in the Autumn, or under this oversized denim jacket.

I’m also in love with the color of this velvet cross-body bag and who doesn’t need new jeans for the Autumn/ Winter season? I love high-waisted jeans, so these are on my list.

You can find all these items in store, but if you are buying on-line,  I would recommend paying attention to the sizing when you order. Detailed measurements are given on each item page so I would definitely recommend taking your own measurements and checking them against the site to avoid any nasty surprises! Each page also includes photos of the item and details of the material and care instructions  so don’t hesitate to check this out. You can also find Stradivarius on Instagram and Facebook.

What do you think?  Have you ever bought anything from Stradivarius?  Do you prefer to shop in store or on-line. I love shopping on-line as where else can I shop in my PJS with a glass of wine in hand? As always, I love to have feedback, so please do leave comments and also, please ask any questions you may have too!

Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!

  1. Since I have no kids and I’ve been out of school since 2004 back to school time doesn’t mean back to school for me, it does mean cheap craft supplies, discounts at local stores and new beginnings. I like the idea of treating myself to a new dress. The dress you have on it so sexy and chic on you. You look beautiful. and as always your surroundings are breath taking.

    1. Thank you Susanne! I’m not actually going back to school -just an excuse for a new dress xo

  2. That dress is so beautiful! I love the floral pattern, the cold shoulder design and the waist belt you’ve added to it, such great styling! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

    1. Thank you so much Rina. I agree I think it will look great with boots and a cardigan/ jumper too xoxo

    1. Thank you Heather! I love both too, but shopping on line is great when you want to curl up with a glass of wine and browse!
